Kanye West (41) has sued the allegedly Roc-A-Fella Records, a Hip-Hop-music label, which was co-founded in 1995 by Jay-Z (49), as well as the Label EMI. According to US media citing court documents, reports, submitted to the 41-Year-old, the two lawsuits on Friday, reportedly, the Rapper demands money. The court should also clarify what rights he had from his contracts.
The US celebrity portal “TMZ” reported about the complaints, the West saying that he had signed in 2003 – a year before he made “The College Dropout” his breakthrough – a contract with EMI. By the end of 2011, the West wants to written alone or together with other artists more than 200 Songs and the rights to these Songs at EMI have transferred it accordingly. Apparently there is a dispute, it is probably money, the report said.
According to “TMZ” has Jay-Z sold his shares in Roc-A-Fella in 2004 and is no longer involved in the company. An Insider said that the claims are not Jay-Z and there is no dispute between the two artists.
